The Artery prides itself on its cleanliness and our ability to provide a safe environment for our clients and artists.

Best practices, as laid out by Durham Health, are enforced and exceeded, and visitors to the studio will immediately be put at ease. COVID-19 has presented new challenges, but the risk is greatly mitigated by our diligence. Posted in the studio is an action plan, updated regularly, revealing how we are acting in response to the virus. These actions are always based on official government guidelines and health and safety protocols.

At present, masks are not required by clients. They are recommended if feeling symptomatic or if wearing one makes you feel more comfortable. Please show respect to staff and clients who decide to wear one.

More frequent cleaning of common surfaces is taking place, and clients will be screened at arrival prior to beginning any work. Artery is a private, by-appointment studio. As such, we carefully schedule customers ensuring we provide ample time between visitors to clean and reset our studio space.
